![]() ![]() In fact at the moment you can run all the usual paid for items for free as they are trying to let you see what you may be missing. I did upgrade my PC to SSD and changed virus protection a few months back and it's a lot faster as is the whole PC. Store my CAM stuff on it and don't find it slow to bring anything up except for a click or two to alter it from read only to editable. I use the free one and just renewed when it ran out. I guess that the company is trying to ensure that commercial companies do not keep using the free versions. You have to download and re-register from scratch but when you do it recognises who you are and all your old designs reappear. That way, I get to keep a copy of my file on my hard drive and the number is only limited by the capacity of the drive. ![]() A mention of this in another thread brought up the suggestion by Jason Bellamy to "export" the files to my computer for storage and just click "no" to the invitation to save the file when the design is closed. I use Fusion personal edition to produce gcode, not 3D designs or drawings and initially didn't like the cloud saving element. I may have misunderstood the website and got this wrong. After that you have to pay to access your work. I read the website that Gary mentions as the free version can be used for three years with yearly renewal (which was easy). It is now very slow and bringing items back from store, "the cloud", can take a very long time. I have used Fusion360 for about 15 months and will probably give up with it. THIS site says that the free version can be renewed on a 3-year basis. Free sounds good!ĭon't you just renew your F360 hobbyist subscription? For my occasional use it would not make sense to spend to much. Its a good job I had not invested to much time in learning it because having the rug pulled like this would have stung badly. I have not used it for anything other than tutorials but when I went to use it a couple of days ago it tells me my free subscription has expired. I have had the free version of Fusion360 installed for a good while now - three years maybe. ![]()
